SCMSAA Golf Tournament for 2008:

The 2008 SCMSAA Golf Classic is less than month or so away. This year’s event will be held at Fossil Creek in Fort Worth on Thursday, July 24^th2008. Registration begins at 8 am and the tournament starts at 8:30 a.m.
The Golf Classic raises money for scholarships so that credit union professionals may receive financial assistance to attend Southwest CUNA Management School (SCMS). SCMS is a three-year accredited study program, held at TCU in Fort Worth, to educate, develop and enhance the leadership potential and skills of credit union executives and professionals. Since the golf tournament’s inception in 1989, the Alumni Association has donated more than $143,000 toward scholarships.

Sponsors Needed: There are sponsorships available ranging from $250 to $1,000. Go to http://www.cunaschool.org/Be_a_Sponsor.html for complete details.

Golfers Needed: The cost for an individual to play is only $95 (before June 22). After the early bird deadline, the cost is $110. Go to http://www.cunaschool.org/July_24_Gol.html for complete details

Door Prizes Needed: Door prizes are needed for the Golf Classic. Suggested items include gift cards, cash donations, gift baskets, golf balls or other golf-related items. Items can be brought the day of the tournament of mailed ahead of time to the contact listed below.

Good Bag Items Needed: Golf-related good bag items are also needed. Suggested items include sunscreen, tees, ball markers, bug spray, lip balm, crackers, gum, snacks, etc. At least 120 items are needed to cover the number of golfers expected. Items need to be mailed/delivered ahead of time (NO LATER THAN WED, JULY 16) to the contact listed below.

• There are two slots remaining for our 1st year class. We are offering a $100 bounty to fill these. If the application comes in with your name as a referral, we will send you $100 after the student completes the summer session. If the student is yours, you can discount tuition by $100.
